Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the signing of Euro 2020 winner Gianluigi Donnarumma from Italian Serie A side AC Milan on a free transfer.

PSG have been active in the transfer market with the Italian goalkeeper being their second signing from the Italian Serie A, Hakimi Achraf was the first to join the Ligue 1 giants from an Italian club.

Donnarumma who won the player of the tournament at the just concluded Euro 2020 signed a five-contract with the La Parisiens as he will team up with his fellow Italy national teammate Marco Veratti.

Paris Saint-Germain released an official statement on their website to confirm the signing of Donnarumma from AC Milan on Wednesday evening.

"Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce that Gianluigi Donnarumma has joined the club. The Italian goalkeeper has signed a five-year contract until 30 June 2026," the club stated.

"The 22-year-old Italy international joins Paris Saint-Germain from AC Milan, where he started out in 2013. Early in his career the Italian goalkeeper made a name for himself with Italy’s U17s at the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and was voted player of the tournament."
