Europa League: How Nigerian Players Performed On Thursday

The quest for continental glory in the Europa league and the Conference league was underway on Thursday night with 30 fixtures on offer in th two European clubsides competitions.

Nigerian internationals and eligible players weren't left out in the Thursday night football in th Europa League and in the Conference league.

Below is a review of the performances of Nigerian players in the Europa league and in the conference league on Thursday.

4. Joe Aribo (Rangers, Scotland)

The left footed Super Eagles midfield maestro was in action for 90min in his side (2-0) big win on Thursday night in the Europa league.

5. Calvin Bassey (Rangers, Scotland)

The Super Eagles left full back was a second half substitute, he was thrown into his foray to help defend his side win against, Brondby.

6. Taiwo Awoniyi (Union Berlin, Germany)

The Super Eagles Striker who was involved in the double header during the International break was on target for his German side in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

Union Berlin suffered a big defeat against Dutch side, Feyenoord.

The Super Eagles Striker was involved in his Dutch side (3-1) win on Thursday night against German Bundeliga outfit, Union Berlin in the Europa Conference league

7. Paul Onuachu (Genk, Belgium)

The Super Eagles tailsman, Paul Onuachu, and his Belgian side suffered a big (3-0) defeat against English Side, West Ham.

The big man striker fired blank in the fixture.

8. Stephen Odey (Randers, Denmark)

The Nigeria professional football league 'Goal King' continued his impressive form in the Europa league on Thursday night to help his side bag a point away from home against Czech Republic based outfit, Jablonec.

9. Esiti Anderson (PAOK Thessaloniki, Greece)

The former Super Eagles midfielder played all 90mins as his Greek side recorded an away win against Dannish side, FC Copenhagen.
