One Trend Conte Will Break By Becoming Man United's New Manager Before The End Of This Season

A series of poor performances from Manchester United in the last couple of weeks has added to the growing calls for the club manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, to be relieved of his job before the end of the season.

Recent media reports suggest that Manchester United's managing director, Richard Arnold, is set to meet with the Glazers in the coming hours to discuss Solskjaer's future at the club.

If Solskjaer is relieved of his job, one name that keeps getting mentioned as a potential option for the Manchester United coaching position is Antonio Conte. Conte has been jobless since he walked away from his job at Inter Milan due to alleged disagreements with the board on issues relating to players sales, and the idea of replacing Solskjaer is said to be very attractive to him.

If Antonio Conte ends up becoming Manchester United's new manager before the end of this season, he will be breaking one of his career trends.

The 57 years old Italian manager has always preferred to join a new club before the beginning of the season. He has reportedly turned down big clubs in the past because of his unwillingness to accept a new job midway through the season.

Known for his very demanding and rigorous playing style, joining a new club at the beginning of the season allows Conte to prepare the squad during preseason games. He can also correct perceived weaknesses in his squad by delving into the transfer market.

Replacing Solskjaer midway through the season will deny Antonio Conte the opportunity to make needed changes to his squad, but it seems the Manchester United job is too attractive for him to turn down. They are still one of the biggest clubs in the world despite their recent struggles.

Another opportunity like this might never arise if he chose to turn down the job. He will probably get a huge salary, which is enough compensation for changing his career philosophy.
