A nightmare for Goalkeepers? - How Ronaldo scored 10 goals against Buffon, Neuer and Oblak in 2017

Former Juventus Forward Cristiano Ronaldo is rated as one of the prolific Goalscorers in the world. The 36-year-old isn't exactly as he used to be when he was at his prime at Real Madrid but one thing that you can't take away from him is his Goalscoring prowess.

Cristiano Ronaldo can effortlessly use his head, left foot and right foot to score goals. This is why some sections among Football enthusiasts rate him as the greatest Player of all-time.

When he moved to Manchester United from Juventus on the final day of the summer transfer window, his move was greeted with mixed reactions. Of course, Manchester United fans were the happiest about it because their prince of glory has returned home while the opposition questioned the dynamic that the 36-year-old will bring to the star-studded Red Devils squad.

Cristiano Ronaldo has buried all the doubts about him after netting a brace on his second Manchester United debut against Newcastle United. He played the role of a Central forward in the Match, a role that he played during the 3 years he spent at Juventus.

Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't always a Striker. He started his career as a Winger with an admirable dribbling skills at Manchester United. He continued in that role at Real Madrid before eventually becoming a full blown Striker.

Cristiano Ronaldo has spent decades outsmarting Goalkeepers across Europe and he holds a number of global records to show for it. He holds the record for the most goals scored in the UEFA Champions League, the highest goal scored in a single UEFA Champions League campaign, he's Real Madrid all-time highest Goalscorer and he's the highest Goalscoring player in the history of Men's International Football.

What's even spectacular about the Portuguese Skipper is that he has scored his goals against some of the World's greatest Goalkeepers. Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak and Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer are the highest rated Goalkeepers on FIFA 22. Jan Oblak was rated 91 out of 100 while Manuel Neuer got a rating of 90.

In 2017, Jan Oblak and Manuel Neuer alongside Juventus' Gianluigi Buffon were humiliated by Cristiano Ronaldo in the UEFA Champions League. Christiano Ronaldo scored 13 UEFA Champions League goals that season to emerge as the top scorer in the European tournament. What's more impressive is that the trio of Oblak, Neuer and Buffon conceded 10 out of those 13 goals.

During the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League in 2016/17, Real Madrid played against Bayern Munich. Ronaldo netted a brace against Bayern Munich in Germany despite having Manuel Neuer as their Goalkeeper.

The return leg at Santiago Bernabeu was more dramatic as Bayern Munich were leading Real Madrid by 2-1 after full time. The match headed into the extra time and Ronaldo scored 2 more Goals to complete his hat trick against Manuel Neuer. That's 5 goals in 2 Matches for Cristiano Ronaldo against Bayern Munich and Manuel Neuer.

At the Semi finals that same year, Cristiano Ronaldo netted a hat trick against Real Madrid's local rival Atletico Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu. A whole Jan Oblak conceded three goals in a single Match and it was all scored by Cristiano Ronaldo.

At the Final of the European tournament, Real Madrid thrashed Juventus by 4-1 in Wales. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace while Casemiro and Asensio scored a goal each.
