A goal is termed to be crucial when it helps a team avoid defeat in a particular match. So to say, if a team is already leading a game comfortably, additional goals scored by players of that team will not necessarily count as crucial since it doesn't change the outcome of the game. However, Manchester United have played six games so far this season bagging fourteen goals in the process as they currently lie third in the Premier league and bottom in their Champions league group stage.

The youngster has scored two crucial goals for Manchester United this season, he scored the equalizing goal in a 1-1 draw at St Mary's stadium and later on bagged the winning goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers to secure a 1-0 victory.
The Portugese International has found the back of the in every game he has played since his return to Manchester United. But one crucial goal he scored was the goal that restored parity in the game against West Ham United in a 2-1 win for his side.
He came on as a second half substitute against the Hammers and was at the right place at the right time to unleash a screamer that secured all three points for the Red Devils at Upton Park.
The likes of Bruno Fernandes and Fred are other players that have also scored goals for Manchester United this season, but their strikes will not be counted as crucial seeing that the Red Devils would have still won the game had either of them not scored.
