Most of the popular football brothers we know all played for the same national team. Yaya and Kolo Toure both played for Ivory Coast, Gary and Phil Neville both played for England, Ronald and Frank de Boer both played for Netherlands, and so on. However, there are cases where brothers played for different national teams due to having dual nationality. A very good example is that of Kevin-Prince Boateng and Jerome Boateng, who are biological brothers. But while Kevin-Prince played for Ghana, Jerome played for Germany, and they came up against each other at the 2010 World Cup.
