Super Eagles of Nigeria star Kelechi Nwakali was exceptional for his Spanish club-side SD Huesca football club on Saturday evening, as he came from the bench to inspire them to a remarkable 3-1 away victory.
The Arsenal Hale Academy product was dropped to the bench by his coach in order to catch some rest having played many games for the club, and he was able to impress after being introduced to the pitch.
The Nigerian international was brought in to replace Spain star Mikel Rico in the 67th minutes and he was able to play a vital role in his team's last two goals.
Both teams efforts to score in the first half of the game were not successful, as the first half ended goalless.
Marc Mateu opened scoring for the away team in the 47th minutes and Pablo Moreno equalized for the home team in the 71st minutes.
Jaime Seoane put the away team ahead in the 84th minutes through a fine teamwork from Nigerian Kelechi Nwakali, and Seoane scored his second goal of the game in the 90th minutes to end the match 3-1.
Kelechi Nwakali was exceptional for the away team after being introduced to the pitch in the second half of the game, and he was able to play a vital role in his team's deserved victory.
The victory over Girona FC has now taken SD Huesca football club to the 8th spot of the Spanish Laliga SmartBank League table with 14 points from 10 matches played.
