When Raphael Varane was signed to Manchester United from Real Madrid, he was tipped by many to replace Victor Lindelof in the Manchester United's centre-back position, thereby pairing with mainstay, Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.
But in today's 5 - 1 victory over Leeds United, Lindelof put in am excellent performance at the back for United. He won a lot of balls, blocked some balls and made excellent ball- winning tackles.
Raphael Varane couldn't make the match day squad because the contract negotiations between him and the Manchester United board are yet to be completed.

The truth is, if Victor Lindelof continues like this then Raphael Varane will have to make do on the bench. This means Lindelof will make Varane to start from the bench if he continues this excellent performance that we just saw him display today against Leeds in United's 5 - 1 triumph over them.
