REPORTS: Arsenal attacker 'agrees to join new club after disappointing start to the 2021/2022 season

Despite adding several players including Nuno , Albert Sambi Lokonga, Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard to their current squad this summer, Arsenal are nowhere near their aims for Tavaresthe season.

The North London club have lost their first three league matches against Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City respectively and are now currently rooted in 20th position on the Premier League table.

The Emirates side have also failed to score a single goal so far this season and have conceded nine goals in just their first three matches.

And on top of that, Arsenal could now be rocked with reports that veteran attacker Willian is close to leaving the club before the end of the summer transfer window.

The 33-year-old Brazil International, who signed up for Arsenal after leaving arch-rivals Chelsea in 2020 has failed to live up to expectations at the Emirates Stadium.

Willian Borges endured a very disappointing 2020/2021 season where he scored just one goal and provided seven assists in 37 appearances, leaving Arsenal to finish eighth on the Premier league table.

However, he is now set to depart the club and according to reports from news channel The Sun, Brazilian side Corinthians are interested and are willing to sign him this summer.

The reports have it that the experienced winger has agreed to join the Brazilian club on a free transfer as he seeks to get back to his very best this season.

That said, Willian Borges is now expected to play no part when Arsenal resume their Premier League campaign against Norwich City after the international break next month.
