Manchester United set new record in the Champions League

Manchester United defeated Atalanta in what became of the most thrilling encounter in a second half game this season. From 2 goals down, the Red Devils clinched victory from a header by Cristiano Ronaldo and 2 goals from Marcus Rashford and Captain Harry Maguire.

United have now won a Champions League game from a two-goal deficit for the third time in the competition — no team has done so more frequently. The only other team that has the same record was Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side who also won 3 games from 2 goal deficit in the competition.

Atalanta will host Manchester United in the next game but this victory gives the red Devils some much needed room to breathe as they climb up the top of group F while relegating their Atalanta to second place Solskjaer's side becoming the team with the most points in the group.

Bruno Fernandes was awarded the man of the match.
