UEFA Champions League

How Liverpool could line up against Porto in the UCL tonight

Liverpool Football Club will travel to Portugal as they get set to lock horns with FC Porto in their second Group B encounter of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League.

Though Jurgen Klopp will be without some key players like Thiago Alcantara, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harvey Elliott, the German tactician is still expected to name a very strong starting XI as he has a lot of quality players at his disposal.

In this article, we'll be looking at how Jurgen Klopp could set up his side ahead of the game. Check it out below:

Jurgen Klopp is expected to stick with his usual 4-3-3 formation with Alisson Becker lining up in the goal.

Van Dijk and Gomez are undoubtedly expected to keep their places in central defense while Robertson keeps his place in left-back.

Milner could fill in for Trent at right-back.

In the middle of the park, Fabinho is expected to occupy the defensive-midfield spot while Curtis Jones and Henderson occupy the attacking-midfield and central-midfield positions respectively.

As for the front-line, the usual trio of Sadio Mane, Firmino and Mo Salah is expected to keep their places.

Here's an illustration of the possible lineup below:
