The premier league golden glove award is an award given to a goalkeeper with the most number of clean sheets kept at the end of a particular campaign.
This season, the likes of Nick Pope, Aaron Ramsdale and David De Gea are occupying the first three position with 12, 12 and 11 clean sheets respectively.
Nonetheless, I've decided to put up this article to highlight the current golden glove table after Aaron Ramsdale kept a clean sheet against Fulham to draw level with Nick Pope on the log.
1. Nick Pope: the first player on the list is Nick Pope who currently plays for Newcastle United as a goalkeeper. Following his failure to keep a clean sheet against Wolves on Sunday, the English International still has a clean sheet tally of 12 this season.
2. Aaron Ramsdale: Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale is currently occupying second position on the list with 12 clean sheets. Following Arsenal's 3-0 win over Fulham on Sunday, Aaron Ramsdale was able to take his tally from 11 to 12 clean sheets.
3. David De Gea: the third goalkeeper on the list is David De Gea who currently plays for Manchester United. On Sunday, he was able to extend his clean sheet tally to 11 despite the fact that they were a man down against Southampton.
4. Alisson Becker: the fourth goalkeeper on the list is Alisson Becker who currently plays for Liverpool. According to reports gathered, he has been able to keep 10 clean sheets.
5. Ederson: Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson occupies fifth position with 10 clean sheets. Over the last couple of years, he has been among the top contenders for the golden glove award. Kindly take a look at the image below for more details.Credit: Premier League Stats Centre.
