Chelsea is set to announce the transfer of promising youngster Marcel Lewis to Belgium club today

Chelsea football club will announce the transfer of one of their most promising academy graduate Lewis Bate to Belgium club union Saint-Gilloise.

The 19 years old attacking midfielder is highly rated at the bridge but with his contract running down, he believes he needs to join a club where first team football will easily be on offer.

Lewis Bate trained with Chelsea first team earlier this season

He is expected to join the Belgium outfit when his contract expires and the report added that he has already signed a four years contract with union Saint-Gilloise.

Recall that the young English midfielder trained alongside Ian Maatsen and Tino Anjorin with the Chelsea first team during the tail end of frank Lampard's reign.

Chelsea football will wish Marcel Lewis all the best later this evening

Despite his relative youth, he will compete for a first-team starting spot next season and retains links to English football, with the Belgian club being linked to Brighton through their owner Tony Bloom.
