UEFA Champions League

Here is the Lineup that would help Lukaku to finally score after six games tonight.

Chelsea welcomes Malmo to Stamford Bridge this night for their 3rd Champions League group stage game this season. The London club lost their 2nd fixture of the group stage against Juventus last month, and they would look to win tonight to boost their chance of progressing to the round of 16.

Nevertheless, Chelsea's number 9, Romelu Lukaku, has struggled to score in their last couple of games. and this game will give him a chance to end his goal drought as he has already gone 6 games in all competitions without scoring a goal for the Blues.

And during his pre-match press conference yesterday, Thomas Tuchel reportedly suggested that Lukaku could be tired due to the number of games he has played for both club and country this year without having enough time to rest.

But, despite Tuchel's comment yesterday, Chelsea fans would however love to see their number 9 striker scoring for them tonight after failing to score in their last six games. And I think that Thomas Tuchel's tactics and formation could also play a big part in helping Lukaku to score again, given he always appears to be isolated in most of their games due to lack of connection between him and his teammates(midfielders).

Lukaku has not been having enough chances in games in their last couple of games.

And in this article, we have suggested the best formation that could help Lukaku to finally score his first goal in six games tonight.

Below is the lineup and why I think it would help Lukaku to score tonight.

Formation: 3-5-2 (Created by the author).

Thomas Tuchel has opted for the 3-5-2 formation in his recent games, with Timo Werner partnering Lukaku upfront and 3 midfielders supporting them in middle as their. But Lukaku has been struggling to perform in this formation as he rarely receives good passes from his teammates.

But I believe that using the 3-5-2 with one midfielder moving forward to play as a number 10 would bring the connection that has been lacking between their midfielders and strikers. This tactic would allow the number 10 to create chances for the two strikers in front of him. And Mason Mount would be the best option for the number 10 role thanks to his chance creating ability.

Hakim Ziyech would also be a good option in that position.
