Opinion: 2 things Chelsea must avoid before the UCL final, after FA cup defeat.

Football as interesting as it is can be weird sometimes. Some days ago, Chelsea were really flying and everything seems to be working in their way, they have the FA cup and UCL in sight, their chances of making the premier league top four look so sure, however, two defeat in quick succession means they could end the season empty handed.

A season that has promised a lot is now turning to a bad one. Chelsea have laboured a lot to get to this stage, and one thing they must seek to avoid is losing everything, after missing out on the FA cup. Starting from Tuesday, they must start getting things right, because anything apart from a victory means their chances of making it into the Champions league next season through the PL position is out of their hands, as such we analyze two things they must avoid before they play Manchester city on 29.

Before today's match was played, it's believed everything is possible, because Chelsea can win it all or bottle it all. After their defeat tonight, they can still turn things around and go with the UCL trophy, however, if they didn't get it right, they might lose everything. Two defeat in a row can damage a team's confidence, and the way the game is coming thick and fast now, Chelsea didn't have much time for recovery and preparation. To avoid further calamity, below are two things Chelsea must avoid.

1. Avoid a defeat against Leicester on Tuesday.

Chelsea are set to play host to Leicester city again on Tuesday, as both side fight for a place in the PL top four. Leicester city only need four points in their remaining two games to guarantee a place in next season's Champions league. Chelsea on the other hand must win their two remaining games or else they will have to pray Liverpool didn't win all their games.

Such is the importance of the Leicester match on Tuesday, because anything apart from a win for Chelsea will put additional pressure on them ahead of their encounter with City, which will eventually affect their preparation and at the end influence the result.

2. Avoid Injury to key players.

Even if they didn't make the PL top four, Chelsea can still play in next season's champions league if they defeat Manchester city. That's why it's important to keep everyone fit and hope for the best, because injury to any major player will weaken their team and reduce their chances of success.
