However when Pulisic was signed for Chelsea from Dortmund, it was expected that he be the next Hazard, to make the fans know that they didn't have to miss Eden that much. Pulisic have to wear the big shoes left by Eden Hazard on his way to Madrid.
At the beginning, it wasn't easy for him when he first came. The intensity and expectations was too high for him and it was difficult for him adapting to the rigorous play style of the EPL.
However, Frank Lampard came in and provided a soft landing for him to thrive in the league by helping him, training him to withstand the heat and intensity of the premier league. A lot of fans here misunderstood Lampard for that motive, they felt he never like the prolific player, and called him names.
As a coach it's Lampard's duty to ensure that he identifies the problem of a player and solve it by bringing out the best from the player. Now Christian Pulisic on his reintroduction into the play got a hatrick. And still thriving, breaking up defenses and scoring goals.
In the post Covid 19 restart of the final round of the 2019 to 2020 season, Pulisic has been the most outstanding player presently that has performed to expectation to a point that he was said to be the next Eden Hazard. His confidence has really improved and it can only get better, if we keep encouraging and supporting him.
Christian Pulisic had admitted he didn't come to replace Eden but has come to bring in something a little bit different from the former prolific forward. Adapting to life after his first big move, to Chelsea, was a bit strange and challenging but now, the American international prolific forward, has proven that he is equal to the task and has settled in comfortably, firing on all cylinders. If he keeps up with this pace without taking his feet off the gas padal, he might end up not just being our next Hazard but even better than him.
Therefore it will be awesome to watch him play next season with the likes of Hakim, Warner and others.
