Frank Lampard's league Goals and assist records in 2009/10 is better than Jack Grealish's EPL stats

Frank Lampard might not have gone down in history as a great Manager for Chelsea but the English Midfielder is undeniably among the greatest players that ever donned Chelsea's Blue Jersey. In the summer of 2001, prior to the arrival of Roman Abramovich, Chelsea paid just £11million to West Ham United to bring Frank Lampard to Stamford Bridge.

The England International excelled as a box-to-box Midfielder during the 14 years that he spent at Chelsea. The work of box-to-box Midfielder is more complicated and tedious than Central Midfielders or Attacking Midfielders. As a Box-to-box Midfielder, Frank Lampard had an all-around ability that made him to contribute immensely to attack of Chelsea despite being a deep role Midfielder.

Despite primarily being a defensive Midfielder, Frank Lampard was the highest Goalscoring Midfielder in the history of the English premier league, and he's Chelsea's all-time highest Goalscorer with 211 Goals across all competitions. For such a great asset, Chelsea paid just £11million.

Last Summer, Pep Guardiola went after Aston Villa's most prized asset. Aston Villa agreed a deal worth £100million with Manchester City on Jack Grealish. Jack Grealish was Aston Villa's focal player as he played a huge part in returning the club to the English premier league from the Championship in 2019.

It could have been because Jack Grealish was Aston Villa best Player for more than three years running and that was why they slammed a hefty price tag on him which the Citizens eventually agreed to, but a look at Jack Grealish's performance so far at Manchester City and his overall performance in the English premier league shows that the Citizens might have overpaid on him.

Frank Lampard spent 14 years at Chelsea while Jack Graelish has spent 7 years of his career in the English premier league out which 6 years was with Aston Villa and the other was with Manchester City. During the 2009/10 premier league season, Frank Lampard's goal contributions for Chelsea that Season is more than Jack Grealish's career record in the English premier league.

Frank Lampard played 36 league games for Chelsea during the 2009/10 Season, he scored 22 Goals and registered 14 assists. Jack Grealish has played 104 Premier league games in his Career at Aston Villa and Manchester City, he has scored just 16 goals and created 17 assists. This is the player that Manchester City paid £100million for to sign last summer.
