Arsenal Keen To Finalise A New Contract Signing With Key Defender Due To His Impressive performance.

The north London club manager is currently keen on rebuilding quality new players that will bolster the attacking force of the, as he's aiming to challenge for the premier league in few seasons to come.


The 38-years-old Spain international took over the Gunners job back in December, and he has proven to be the right man for the Gunners job. However, the manager pulled up surprise win against Manchester city in their FA Cup semi-final tie, as they are set to battle Chelsea in the final match.

Meanwhile, the north London club manager is eager to nail down some of his valuable players ahead of next season campaign. The manager is eager to pressure the Gunners board to offer a new contract offer Shkodran Mustafi, who has been barillant since the arrival of the new head coach.

The 28-years-old German center-back has turn around his future at the club as he has proven to be a reliable player at the back-line. The defender was set to exit the club under Unai but has now put on some form at the Gunners club.

However, the center-back who joined the Arsenal back in August 15 2014 from Valencia.

Meanwhile, the in-form German current contract is due to expire at the end of next season, but the boss is hopeful the management will sort an extension before then.

“That’s something the club has to address but he knows my opinion,” said Arsenal’s manager.

Mikel Arteta wants Arsenal board to tie Shkodran Mustafi down to a new deal.

The German star has been performing well under Mikel since being brought back into the fold by The Gunners’ chief.

His current contract is due to expire at the end of next season, but the boss is hopeful the management will sort an extension before then.

“That’s something the club has to address but he knows my opinion,” said Arsenal’s manager.

“I’m really happy with him as you can see. The way he’s playing, how committed he is with everything we’re trying to do, the level in his performance ever three or four days, he’s been really consistent.”

The 28-year-old who was struggling to to impresaive Unai, has started 15 of the club’s last 17 games under Arteta, helping Arsenal keep six clean sheets during that run.
