CHE VS NOR: Take A look At Chelsea's Last 5 EPL Home Meetings With Norwich City And How They Fared

Following back to back wins over Southampton and Brentford, Chelsea's next Premier league game will see the Canaries visit Stamford Bridge this weekend in what will be the nineteen meeting between these two sides since 1992. The Blues who will be without some key attackers in Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner will be hoping to make it three consecutive top flight wins, one that will see them consolidate their position at the summit of the table.

However, the match is set to kick-off tomorrow at 12:30 West Africa Standard time and in this regard, check out Chelsea's last five Premier league meetings with Norwich City at Stamford Bridge and how they fared;

1- Chelsea 1 vs 0 Norwich City (14 July 2020)

Oliver Giroud scored on the stroke of half-time as Chelsea labored to a 1-0 win over the Canaries who remained bottom of the table.

2- Chelsea 1 vs 0 Norwich City (21 November 2015)

Assisted by Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa put his side in front in the 64th minute and it proved to be the only goal in a narrow win against Norwich City.

3- Chelsea 0 vs 0 Norwich City (4th May 2014)

Despite enjoying 71.3 percent of the possession coupled with 23 attempts at goal, the Blues were unable to find the breakthrough against a stubborn Norwich City side who held on for a stalemate. It was the last game Frank Lampard played for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

4- Chelsea 4 vs 1 Norwich City (6 October 2012)

Goals from Fernando Torres, Eden Hazard, Frank Lampard and Branislav Ivanovic was the difference as Chelsea proved too strong for their opponent.

5- Chelsea 3 vs 1 Norwich City (27 August 2011)

Grant Holt strike was a mere consolation as two late Chelsea goals made sure of the three points.

With four wins and a draw in their last five Premier league home games against the Canaries, Chelsea will be expected to keep their place at the top of the table with another comfortable victory. But coming up against a side who are rooted to the bottom of the table, the Blues must tread carefully as relegation teams do sometimes prove stubborn to overcome.
