Edouard Mendy has the best save percentage in Europe top five leagues so far this season

English premier league giant, Chelsea FC goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has been phenomenal for the Blues since his arrival at the club in the last year summer transfer window under then manager, Frank Lampard.

The 29 years old Senegalese goalkeeper has proved himself to be one of the best shot stoppers both in the domestic top-flight league and European competitions upon his arrival at the Stamford Bridge.

He has then established himself as the preferred number one choice at the goal post for the Blues ahead of Spaniard Kepa Arrizabalaga.

In his last season which was his first season in England and his debut season in the UEFA champions league, he was instrumental for his side by helping the team in making the top fours and also in their success to emerge the Champions of Europe in the Porto's all-English mouthwatering UCL finals against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City team.

The great influx of performance for the former Stade de Rennes goalkeeper made him to be awarded as the best goalkeeper in the competition for the last season, keeping a good number of clean sheets which was the most in history of any shot stopper in their debut season.

Edouard Mendy in the current campaign has picked up his brilliant form from where he left off in the last season having been exceptional yet again for his side in their games played so far.

He played significant roles in helping his team to maintain the top spot on the EPL table before the international break which as such made him to be the number goalkeeper with the best save percentage in Europe's top five leagues.
