Klopp Ready to Sell €20m-rated Liverpool Attacker this Summer

Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana could be set to leave the Merseyside club this summer with his contract running out at the end of the current campaign.

Although he signed a contract extension till the end of the extended season due to the coronavirus pandemic, Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Adam Lallana will be leaving the Reds this summer.

The English professional footballer has seen his game time at Liverpool drastically reduced. Since his move to Liverpool, he has not been able to attain the height expected of him at Anfied and stake a claim to the starting 11. As such, he has fallen down the pecking order at the Merseyside club.

Injuries played a major role in Lallana's reduced game time this season, with the English playmaker being on the sidelines for a bigger part of the season. He has started just 8 of his 22 games across all tournaments this campaign, and is likely to have played his last game for the Reds.

Despite his injury troubles this season, several clubs are reportedly interested in securing his services for next season.

The effect of the coronavirus pandemic on the finance of clubs has left most clubs with very limited funds scrambling for players who are free agents, as a means for improving their teams for next season.

According to report, Burnley and Brighton have entered the battle to sign the 32-year-old attacker on a free transfer and are hoping to beat favourites Leicester City to his signature.

The report also claims that both clubs have already opened negotiations to sign the England international, and are working on offering him long term deals.

However, if he is to move on from Liverpool, he will be leaving Liverpool with two trophies - a Premier League crown and a Champions League crown.

What is your opinion? Should Liverpool allow Adam Lallana to go or offer him a new contract? Will remaining in Liverpool help Lallana attain the height he wishes to get to?
