Don't just call Man U star player, Rashford. Call him Dr Marcus Rashford, see why (details)

Marcus Rashford is an English professional football player who plays as a forward for Manchester United and the English national team.

During the lockdown, Rashford was involved in a high profile campaign for free school meals which led to a change in government policy.

Due to this beautiful act of kindness, the 22 year old would be receiving an honarary award from University of Manchester later this summer.

The award will be for his remarkable campaign against child poverty and outstanding sporting activities on the field. Our beloved Rashford would be the youngest person to receive an award and joins Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton on the list of those to receive one from the prestigious University.

Speaking about this Rashford said,

"It's a proud day for myself and my family. When you look at the great names that have been awarded this doctorate in the past, it's humbling.

"We still have a long way to go in the fight to combat child poverty in this country but receiving recognition from your city means we are heading in the right direction and that means a lot."

Congratulations to this amazing player!
