English Premier League giants Arsenal football club has on Monday evening congratulate Nigerian youngster Folarin Balogun, who has been nominated for Premier League 2 player of the month, following his outstanding performance for the young Gunners in the under 23 Premier League, where he was able to banged in many goals.
The Arsenal Hale Academy product was superb for Arsenal youth team in early January, as he netted a fine hat-trick in the Gunners 5-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion, and he was also impressive for the club in their next matches, including the London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, where they played out a 1-1 draw.
Folarin Balogun's excellent performance for the Gunners under 23 has now earned him a spot in the English Premier League 2 player of the month, and he will have to battle it out with the likes of;
Aston Villa star Louie Barry, Tottenham Hotspur's Kion Ekete, Reading FC's Ethan Bristow, highly rated Leicester City Jacob Wakeling, Rhys Hughes of Everton football club, and Manchester United’s Joe Hugill.
Reacting after Folarin Balogun was nominated by the Premier League, Arsenal academy and the Gunners senior team reacted by congratulating the youngster via their verified Twitter handles.
The Nigerian youngster has been superb for the Gunners this season, and his excellent performance with the youth team has also made him to represent the senior Gunners in the UEFA Europa League this season, scoring two goals and an assist in just three appearances.
