Former Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic was no a happy man following his departure from Barca, calling out Ronald Koeman in his first interview as a Besiktas player, following his move to he Turkish side 2 nights ago.
Pjanic: "Koeman treated me disrespectfully. He never talked to me about what he expected from me, like others would always do. This was already weird. I think I am a good player with a professional attitude but he is a very weird manager. One I never experienced before." [@marca] https://t.co/oKPKpVmx0w
It's no secret that Pjanic had his personal problems with Ronald Koeman during his time at Barca. The Dutchman did not give him (Pjanic) much playing time, plus he never gave a reason why he wasn't playing the Bosnian international.
🗣 "...I have reached the level of Juventus and Barça. I know that I can play for this team, they just haven't given me the chance to compete, to join a group, to help more."
It was not an easy position to be in for a World Class player as Miralem Pjanic, who wanted to help the team fight for titles. But Koeman made his time at Barca a very difficult one to look back on.
Pjanić goes on...
🗣 "I have never talked about these things, but I think it is important to know what I have really gone through...I accept everything and it is okay...I will fight until the end for myself because I know what I can give."
Pjanic lowered his wage to 60% before agreeing to join Besiktas this summer, Barca will handle 20% of the wage, while his new club will pay the rest. Good Luck on your new adventure Miralem!!
