Chelsea have really powered in the transfer market of recent unlike the previous years when the blues are known for signing cheap and half-baked players. At first, when Chelsea's transfer ban was lifted, Lampard didnt sign any player till it closed around January 31st.Let me just say that Marina(Chelsea's transfer manager) is still check-mating to know the best player to use. Hakim Ziyech was however, the first player to be signed with 35m followed by Timo Werner with €55m.Chelsea have also been linked with some other players like Havertz, Alaba, Oblak and Koulibaly.
A mere look at Chelsea's newly signed player have shown the type of attacking football Lampard wants to play next season but the defensive position is very bad compared to that attack. I believe that Chelsea would be the best European team next season if Lampard signs Kalidou Koulibaly, Jan Oblak,David Alaba and Kai Havertz. These four players will everly help Chelsea's defence to maintain a great cordination. Zouma will be paired with Koulibaly while David Alaba becomes the left wing-back and then Cesar Azplicueta at the right back position. David Alaba also plays the center-back position some times as seen in Chelsea vs Bayer first leg.He could be paired with Koulibaly while Cesar and James becomes the wing-backs.
The midfield position will only show N'golo kante and Mateo Kovacic at the defensive midfield position while Kai Havertz will be the attacking midfielder here. Christian Pulisic will be seen at the left wing position, Ziyech at the right wing position and then Timo Werner becomes the top striker here. I believe this team is very perfect and could be the best European team next season if these four players get signed. Lampard is currently building his team just like Klopp did last 3 years, the truth is that building a team takes some time because players need to understand themselves before becoming so perfect. I believe Lampard will do well if these players are given to him.
