
Super Eagles of Nigeria left-back Zaidu Sanusi was outstanding for FC Porto on Sunday evening, as he guided them to a convincing 2-0 victory over Belenenses FC in the first game of the season.

The former Santa Clara FC defender was given a starting role by coach Sergio Conceicao and he played a vital role in his team's victory.
Zaidu Sanusi started in the defence line alongside Neto Lopez, Pepe and Chancel Mbemba and they were all fantastic for the host.

FC Porto opened scoring through a classic goal from Toni Martinez after receiving an assist from Otavio to end the first half 1-0.
Colombia star Luiz Diaz doubled the lead in the 65th minutes through a fine teamwork from Joao Mario and Zaidu Sanusi to end the match 2-0.

The Nigerian international was exceptional for the home team throughout the whole duration of the game, and he was able to guide them to a deserved victory.
The 2-0 victory over Belenenses FC has now taken FC Porto to the 4th spot of Portuguese Primeira Liga table with 3 points from 1 match played.
