At the Tuesday's pre-season friendly match between Stoke City and Shrewsbury, and John Mikel Obi is said to score his first Stoke City goal in the match. It was earlier this month that Mike Obi joined the potters on a free transfer, and he is said to have made his first start for his new club(Stoke City) at the Club's Wood Training Field.
After the Boothe's opener was called off by the Shrewsbury town, the 33-year-old player re-established the host's lead before the break.
John Mikel Obi was replaced by Tom Ince after he played for 45 minutes. Afobe whose full name is DR Congo's Benik was introduced for Lee Gregory nine minutes after the hour mark. Adobe was substituted in at the second half as goals from Ince and Tyrese Campbell completed the way for Stoke City.
Earlier, the Stoke City have lose to the Burton Albion in their last friendly match, where they were beaten 1-0. But their match on Tuesday 25th August 2020 was a victory, and following the report from people, Mikel is said to be behind the victory.
Meanwhile, O'Neil have commend and appraise Mikel Obi for his hard work and impact in the team.
