Messi scores his first league goal for PSG

Lionel Messi has finally scored his first goal of the season for Paris Saint-Germain in a match against FC Nantes. The former Barcelona player went on a 7-match run in Ligue 1 without scoring a single goal.

The Argentine international scored his first goal with a pass that came from Kylian Mbappe who also scored the opener in the match. The game ended in a 3-1 victory for Mauricio Pochettino's side as they continued on their way to victory.

Messi scored in the 87th minute but had a very productive game overall. He played the full 90 minutes and had 114 touches of the ball. He was the team's main playmaking threat. He had 4 shots on target and completed 2 dribbles in 5 attempts.

He missed one big chance, however he created 3 chances as well as winning 7 out of 12 ground duels while winning 5 fouls all game.
