Frank Lampard wanted to bring Erling Haaland to Chelsea
In his pre-match press conference for Chelsea's trip to Manchester City, everyone spoke to Frank Lampard about one man - Erling Haaland. The scoring maestro has scored as many goals as Chelsea's entire squad in this Premier League season - and Lampard wanted to bring the Norwegian across when he was first in charge of the Blues. It didn't work out - of course - but Lampard was loudly singing his praises ahead of Chelsea's trip to the Etihad.
Chelsea make Vlahovic bid
Chelsea have reportedly made a bid to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as Mauricio Pochettino looks to add attacking reinforcements this summer. The Blues are among three teams to contact the Italian side, just a year after his £67million move from Fiorentina. Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane have also been on Todd Boehly's shortlist this summer, but Chelsea appear to firmly be in the race for the Serbian striker also.
Felix shuts down Newcastle transfer
Chelsea loanee Joao Felix has responded to rumours linking him with Newcastle on social media. The Blues do not have an option to buy Felix from Atletico Madrid in his loan deal, as reports recently claimed that he was interested in returning to the Premier League - but also wants to play Champions League football. Newcastle had been suggested as a potential landing spot, but Felix commented on an Instagram rumour by saying: "Just a bunch of know-it-alls!"
Man United keen on Guehi
Manchester United and Tottenham could be set to battle it out in the race to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer. French outlet Foot Mercato report the Eagles are 'not against' the idea of selling the England international if they receive a big offer with United and Spurs both reportedly keen on the 22-year-old.
