Italian Serie A club Lazio are interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga who has fallen out of pecking order since the arrival of Benjamin Mendy from Rennes. The Italian team wants the Spanish shot-stopper as a replacement for Pepe Reina whose contract is set to expire in less than one year.
The former Liverpool prolific goalkeeper has been enjoying an impressive run in the Italian club and was at the goal post in all the seven games Lazio played this season. The shot-stopper seeks a wage increase, but Lazio are reluctant in increasing his wage.
Apart from increasing his wage, the shot-stopper is 39 years of age, and he's coming to the end of his career. The club has identified Kepa Arrizabalaga as the ideal man to replace the aged shot-stopper.
Lazio's current coach Maurizio Sarri worked with Kepa Arrizabalaga when he was at Chelsea. The Spaniard was signed by Atletico Bilbao for £71million, making him the most expensive goalkeeper to date.
