Chelsea striker Timo Werner has hired Volker Struth as his agent amid interest from Bayern Munich after splitting from Karlheinz Forster, his agent for nine years.
Struth represents Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann, as well as Bayern Munich centre-backs Dayot Upamecano and Niklas Sule.
However, Werner insists hiring Struth has nothing to do with Bayern Munich’s interest in signing him from Chelsea.
“I didn’t choose Volker because he has some players and the coach in Munich,” Werner told German outlet Express.de.
“I repositioned myself with him to get a new perspective on my career. This should not be interpreted as a hint for or against Bayern.
“It just worked out well between us. It wasn’t about which club might be of interest to me in the future.
“It was just about the interpersonal basis. The cooperation so far has been very good.”
Timo Werner is still hugely important to how Chelsea wants to attack and it's likely he continue to lead the attack with Romelu Lukaku when the Premier League resume against Brentford.
