Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has contacted covid 19 while on international duty with Switzerland.
The Arsenal combative midfielder who got red carded in their 5-0 bashing at the hands Manchester city at the weekend will not be available for his country's World cup qualifiers.
The 28 year old contracted the virus while on international duty with Switzerland and was left out of the squad to face Greece in an international friendly in Basel on Wednesday evening after being diagnosed with related symptoms.
An initial result showed Xhaka was negative but a further test revealed he is positive. The Arsenal former captain has now stayed away from the rest of the national team in Basel.
Recalled that he is suspended in English premiership league having received a straight red card against the citizens at the weekend. A straight red card attracts at least 2 match ban meaning he would miss two Arsenal domestic fixtures after his isolation.
