5 Mistakes VAR made last season in Man-Utd’s matches

The video assistant referee was introduced to help referees in making correct decisions, but it seems to be affecting football in a wrong way. The video assistant referee has been full of several decisions that affect teams in the Premier League. Most of the big teams complain about the process favoring some teams. Many of Manchester United matches last season was full of controversy, and we will be looking at five from last season.

Last season Paul Pogba’s slight touch on Hector Bellerin gave Arsenal three points at Old Trafford. The referee pointed to the spot after using the video assistant referee. From the clip, it looked like Bellerin dived to the floor.

The video assistant referee helped Manchester United by getting a point against Chelsea, Harry Maguire foul on Cesar Azplicueta was a clear fowl, but it was not given.

This was a wrong call from the video assistant referee, it was seen that Bruno stepped on Hause's legs, but the video assistant referee gave Manchester United a penalty. Dean Smith complained after the match but the decision could not be reversed.

Mason Greenwood’s goal against Brighton was a clear offside, but the linesman kept his flag down and the goal stood. This seems to be the reason why Manchester United finished second last season.

Edison Cavani scored against Tottenham Hotspur, but the goal was ruled out after a fast review. Heung Min Son pulled Scott Mctominay back, and he had to push him to release himself.
