We welcome the Premier League games back for the match week five, after the international break. Four games were played on Saturday, which includes the merseyside derby, Everton Vs Liverpool, Chelsea Vs Southampton, Manchester City Vs Arsenal and Newcastle Vs Manchester United.

The Premier League week five Saturday games produce a total number of 16 goals from four games, which indicated that fans were massively entertained.

The Premier League table have taken a little change after this four game, and in this article,we will be looking at how the Premier League table look like after the Saturday premier league fixtures.


1. Everton Vs Liverpool (2–2 draw)

The Merseyside derby ended in a 2–2 draw, with both teams sharing the points. Carlo Ancelotti's Everton side were up to the task against the Liverpool side, as they retain their top spots on the league table for another week, they have collected 13 points from a possible 15 this season so far.

Liverpool now currently occuppy the second spot on the league, pending the Premier League week five Sunday match results. They fell to an embarrassing 7–2 defeat in their last game, which left them in sixth position on the table before the international break, they are now currently on 10 points.


2. Chelsea Vs Southampton (3–3)

This is another entertaining fixture filled with goals and attacking play, as Chelsea lose a two goal lead allowing Southampton to get back into the game to equalise 3–3.

Chelsea was on seventh position on the league table before the game, but they are now currently in six place after the draw, pending the results of the Sunday games.

Southampton also put out a commendable performance against Chelsea, and are now on 10th position on the league table.


3. Manchester City Vs Arsenal (1–0)

This was the game that produce the least goal on Saturday, after the pep Guardiola's men managed to win Arsenal by one goal to nil.

Manchester city have not really had good results this season and were lying in the second half of the league table before this game, but they are now in 9th position on the league table, after the 1–0 win.

Arsenal have dropped one place down the league table to 5th position, after the 1–0 loss to Manchester City.


4. Newcastle Vs Manchester United (1–4)

There was an early scare for Manchester United, when Like Shaw scored an own goal in the early part of the game, but Manchester United came from behind to win this game 1–4.

Manchester United moved from 16th position in the league to 14th position currently, pending other week five results.

Newcastle also dropped from 9th position to 11th on the league table.
