Crystal Palace will face a London club for the fourth time in the Premier League this season. When they face Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park, they will be seeking their first win of the season. Palace has two points thus far and is 14th in the table, while Spurs leads with nine points.
Palace's poor start has already seen them knocked out of the League Cup, and they have failed to score in three of their first four games this season. Patrick Vieira's team did show some promise in their last encounter, as they battled back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at West Ham United.
In the last five league games, the team has failed to win any of them and has conceded two or more goals in four of them. In their last five home league games, they've lost three and won just once.
Tottenham has had a strong start to the season, and they are the only team with a perfect record so far. They have also not conceded a goal in their first three league games. After the transfer market closed and Harry Kane announced his intention to stay, the team had a sense of peace. Given the team's lack of scoring in the first few league games, they may want to use him more now.
They'll be without Davinson Sanchez, Gio Lo Celso, and Cristian Romero for this game because they'll be quarantined upon their return from South America.
Crystal Palace have yet to win in their first four games of the season. They will play a club that has won three of their first three league games. Despite playing at home, Palace will be underdogs, and the in-form Spurs forwards will punish them for their awful scoring and defensive runs. I back Tottenham to win this match. The match will go down on Saturday at 12:30PM Nigerian time.
