Chelsea left back Marcos Alonso was called up by the Spanish national team following his impressive performance at Chelsea football club. Therefore, his performance against Italy further confirms why he has started almost all Chelsea's games this season.

The 30years old Chelsea defender came through the full 90 minutes in Milan, as a brace from Manchester City striker Ferran Torres ensured the it would be La Roja that would reach the Nations League final next week where they will meet either France or Belgium.

Marcos Alonso almost marked his return to the Spanish fold with a goal, but was denied by a smart save from Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who got down low to deny the Chelsea left-back.

After the game, Marcos Alonso reacted with a post via his verified Instagram handle to show his excitement for the win which booked a spot for them in the finals to be played this Sunday.
