Can Chelsea Use This Advantage To Defeat Manchester United In The F.A Cup Semi Final?

Chelsea and Manchester United would meet again in the F.A cup semi finals this season. This will be the fourth time that this two clubs will be meeting this season.

Manchester United has won Chelsea in all the three previous encounters this season, twice in the Premier League and in the quarter finals of the Carabao cup.

The F.A cup semi finals between Chelsea and Manchester United will take place at Wembly stadium on Sunday, the 19 of July.

Frank Lampard would want to take revenge on Manchester United, after they have lost trice to them this season.

In this article, we will be talking about the advantage Chelsea could capitalize on to defeat Manchester United.

Chelsea played their last Premier League game on Tuesday 14 July, against relegated Norwich City, and Manchester United would also be playing their Premier League game against Crystal Palace on Thursday 16 July, which is two days after Chelsea played theirs.

Chelsea would have the advantage of having two days to rest, before Manchester United played their game against Crystal Palace.

Considering the magnitude of the game against Crystal Palace, Manchester United might not be able to rest their star players for the Sunday F.A cup semi final clash between them and Chelsea, which would be just three days away from when Manchester United play against Crystal Palace.

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made an open complain to the English F.A about the fixture not been fair to them, because it would be an advantage to Chelsea who will have two days more to rest.

The Manchester United game against Crystal Palace is equally as important as the F. A cup semi finals, they are also fighting to secure a place in the Premier League top four, before the end of the season.

United will hope to continue their 18 games unbeaten run against Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile Frank Lampard's men are already four points ahead of Manchester United on the league table, pending their match against Crystal Palace on Thursday.

Do you think Chelsea can use the two extra days rest as an advantage to defeat Manchester United in the semi finals?
