Man United's Hope of Beating Chelsea Becomes Slim After Maguire Red Card

Manchester United is currently going through one of the worst periods in the club history, and they look like a different team from the Manchester United that we know.

They have won only 1 of their last 7 league games, drawing 1 and losing the remaining 5 with 7 goals scored and 17 goals conceded in the process. However, their next game is against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and as usual, it is will be an interesting game to watch thanks to their strong rivalry in recent years.

United will travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday for their first meeting of the season.

Moreover, Manchester United has had an impressive record against Chelsea in recent years, with Chelsea recording their last Premier League win against them in November 2017, their previous two league meetings have ended in goalless draws.

But Chelsea is the only side to record a win in their last three meetings in all competitions after recording a 3-1 win in their FA Cup semi-final game in July 2020. And United would hope to continue their recent good form against Chelsea on Sunday.

Varane and a few other United stars have been out for some months now through injuries and suspension.

However, Manchester United has missed some of their top stars through injuries and suspension in recent months, and it has contributed a lot to their recent poor form. The likes of Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane Edison Cavani have been out for some week now, and they are unlikely to return before Sunday to face Chelsea.

Maguire saw a red card at Watford and it will affect United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

And unfortunately for them, they will miss their star defender, Harry Maguire who was the only available senior defender in their last couple of. The United team captain was shown a red card in their 4-1 defeat at Watford on Saturday afternoon. And thanks to Chelsea's ruthless attack, United may struggle to contain Chelsea without Maguire in the game, and whether they will still be able to win Chelsea as they all hope to remains to be seen.

Chelsea is currently one of the most dangerous attacking teams in Europe today.

But thanks to Chelsea's current form and United's poor defense, I think Chelsea may score many goals in the game as they look to extend their lead on the table.
