After they managed to get a comfortable 1-0 win over their opponents Atlético Madrid in the first leg of the encounter, Chelsea were hoping to finish what they started as they welcomed the Spanish giants to Stamford Bridge.
The first half of the match was a bit boring from both side who struggled to break down the defence of themselves. The spark of the first 45 minutes finally came in the 34th minute after a fantastic counter-attack involving Havertz and Werner, created a perfect opportunity for Ziyech who made absolutely no mistake as he scores to give them a 1-0 lead in the first half.
Atlético Madrid began the second on a more pressing note as they look to find a way to break down the tight Chelsea defence in order for them to score, they plan failed as Chelsea added another goal in the second half to make it 3-0 on aggregate.
Immediately after the referee brought the match to an end, satisfied Chelsea fans have taken to various social media platforms to praise their players with one of them being Hakim Ziyech, check out what some fans said about him:
After receiving massive criticism from fans, I think Ziyech has finally silenced those critics by scoring in an important match and also against a top team like Atlético.
