Super Eagles of Nigeria midfield maestro, Frank Onyeka was in action yesterday for newly promoted Brentford in their 6th league game of the English Premiership against Liverpool at the Brentford Community Stadium.
The Nigerian star was handed a role to play in his team's starting XI following his incredible performance for the club in their previous game and he was able to impress.
Frank Onyeka was at the heart of the centre-field for the Bees having been exceptional since his arrival at the club from FC Midtjylland in the last summer transfer window.
Frank Onyeka who made his fifth league appearance for his new club was superb in the game as he contributed immensely in helping his team to earn a point against the former Champions.
The first half of the game was such a balanced one between the two sides as there was nothing separating them at the break which ended 1-1.
The host opened the scoring sheet in the 27th minute with a goal from Ethan Pinnock before Diogo Jota got levelled for the Reds in the 31st minute to make it one all draw going into the half time break.
The tempo of the game was more intensed in the second half as they both put up some physical, tactical and technical displays with Liverpool taking the lead in the 54th minute courtesy of goal from Mohamed Salah to make it 2-1 before Vitaly Janelt made it 2-2 for the host in the 63rd minute.
In the 67th minute, Curtis Jones put his side ahead to make it three goals to two before Yoane Wissa levelled for the Bees in the 82nd minute to make it 3-3.
After several attempts from both ends to add more to the tally of the night, all were not successful as it ended three all draw at full time, thereby making it no victor no vanquished.
The result of the night has now taken Brentford to the 9th spot on the table with 9 points and in 6 games played and as such be hoping to be back to winning ways in their next fixture.
