The Spainard was taking part in an European talent cup race when he fell off his bike at turn 5 with thirteen laps to go in a tightly packed battle in midfield. As Milan started to get to his feet he was instantly collected by another rider, Milan Leon who had nowhere to go and collided with the teenager. The red flag was instantly brought up and medics rushed out onto the track to give him emergency treatment.
Millan was airlifted to Zaragoza hospital and despite their best efforts the medics were unable to save him as the FIM CEV Reposal series that he competes in confirmed that he passed away.
Millan was a highly rated youngster and one of Spain's most promising riders who are hoping to break into the Moto GP. He arrived into the weekend in second place in the European Talent cup standing on 86 points after four podiums and two pole positions this season.
