The New York born Nigerian Athlete agreed to sign a new four-year contract with the Emirates team. He had previously stalled over signing the contract extension as he sought assurances from manager, Mikel Arteta over playing time.

So far, the English professional player has made five appearances for Arsenal’s senior side, scoring two goals in Europa League fixtures against Molde and Dundalk, respectively.

His ongoing contract with Arsenal will expire in 2021.

Recall that when Arteta spoke about Balogun in January, he told the Arsenal’s website: “His progression and the use of the time that he’s had with us has been incredible.

“He will keep having chances while he’s with us.”
