Buffon Makes Sensational Return to Former Club After Leaving Juventus

Gianluigi Buffon has made an extraordinary return to Parma after leaving the club to join Juventus 20 years ago.

Buffon is regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers in the history of the game and is still not ready to hang up his gloves just yet.

The 43-year-old has penned a two-year deal with his former club, however, the evergreen goalkeeper has a unique term in his contract which will allow him to leave after just one season if he chooses.

The Italian great revealed he is still in great shape, which was a major factor in signing for his new club.

“I decided to keep playing because I still feel good physically.” Buffon told reporters in Marina di Pietrasanta.

Buffon made 14 appearances in all competitions for Juventus in the 2020/2021 season, having played as an understudy to Wojciech Szczesny for the majority of the campaign.

However, he kept six clean sheets as he added the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa title to his already impressive trophy haul.
