Paris Saint-Germain made their return to UEFA Champions League football action yesterday as they welcomed RB Leipzig to the Parc Des Princes on Tuesday evening. The Parisians came behind to narrowly defeat RB Leipzig 3-2 in order to secure all three important points as they currently top their group A table.
Paris Saint-Germain were slightly outplayed In the game by RB Leipzig as the German side looked really dangerous on the attack. The Parisians had to absorb the pressure coming from RB Leipzig as they capitalized on their own opportunities to win the match.
Well, PSG didn't win the match convincingly as they struggled to lay their hands on all three points against their opposition. The French Side needs to work on these two things in order to improve their performance this season.
1, Passing From The Back.
Paris Saint-Germain are finding it really difficult to make accurate passes from their defense as they often lose the ball to the opposition. This happened against Manchester City and RB Leipzig and they were lucky not to have been punished for their careless passing in the match. The French Side needs to start making neat and accurate from the back as it will really help their performance this season. The PSG players should learn to stop holding onto the ball for to long which some times gave chance to the opposition to steal the possession. The Parisians needs to really work on this aspect in their style of play.
In all honesty, Paris Saint-Germain don't have one of the best defensive structures in Europe as it showed clearly in their match against RB Leipzig yesterday. The German side opened their defense with few stringed passes as they capitalized on the opportunities to score two goals in the match. The Parisians needs to be well comported in their defense as it reduces the chance of them conceding a goal in the match. The French Side needs to seriously work on this aspect if they want to win the UEFA champions league this season.
