Current EPL Table After Tottenham, Liverpool, And Manchester City Sunday's Showdown

Round 7 of the 2021/22 English Premier League season has produced some fantastic results so far with loads of goals to enjoy.

Saturday's fixtures started with a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Everton; Chelsea beat 10-man Southampton at Stamford Bridge; Wolves got their second win on the bounce; while Brighton and Arsenal shared the spoils in the late kick-off of the game.

Sunday fixtures started with a 2-1 win for Tottenham against Aston Villa, While Manchester City vs Liverpool ended in a 2-2 draw.

Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Aston Villa:

A tangible sense of relief reverberates around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as Spurs end their Premier League drought with a hard-fought win over a disappointing Aston Villa side.

The hosts could not be faulted for effort and clarity of purpose, even if it was an often scrappy affair, and Son's contribution was the key to unlocking.

Villa's back three on several occasions - they now climb above the West Midlands outfit in the table.

Meanwhile, when they reconvene after the international break, Spurs will visit Newcastle in search of back-to-back wins, while Villa must wait for a fortnight before meeting Wolves in a Midlands derby.

Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City:

Liverpool and Manchester City played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in their Premier League clash at Anfield.

The Reds twice took the lead in the contest through Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah but were pegged back by the visitors as Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne found the net in response.

Neither side could press for a winner late on, forcing both outfits to share the spoils on Merseyside.

Here's how the EPL table currently looks like:

Chelsea is on top of the table at the moment with Liverpool following closely behind in second place while Manchester City is third on the log.

Chelsea moves to 1st place after their emphatic 3-1 win over Southampton who is deep in the relegation zone following their third consecutive loss of the season.
