Sheffield United vs Newcastle United (FT 1-0)

There was a sign of relief at the Bramall Lane yesterday after Sheffield United recorded their first win in the Premier League this season against Newcastle United, who are not in their best form at the moment. Sheffield United won Newcastle by 1 goal to nil and the narrow win gave The Blades a ray of hope in their quest of surviving the relegation battle this season.

Newcastle United were down to 10 men just before half-time after Ryan Fraser was shown a red card for his foul on David McGoldrick. Sheffield United capitalized on this in the second half by adding more pressure to the visitors. The Blades got what they wanted in the 75th minute as they were awarded a penalty which was carefully taken by Billy Sharp to make it 1-0 at the Bramall Lane. The game ended 1-0 and it was an emphatic win for Sheffield United.

Wolves vs Everton (FT 1-2)

In the second fixture for yesterday, Everton traveled to the Molineux Stadium to face Wolverhampton Wanderers. Everton needed a win as they look to climb up to the 4th position on the log. A win was what they want and a win was what they got as they defeated Wolves by 2 goals to 1, after an impressive display.

Nigerian forward, Alex Iwobi put the visitors in front in the 6th minute following a great pass from Lucas Digne. Just 8th minutes after Iwobi's goal, the home team responded and it was Ruben Neves that leveled things up at the Molineux Stadium with a fine volley. Both teams pushed for a winning goal in the latter parts of the game but it was Everton that finally saw a breakthrough in the 77th minute with the help of Michael Keane, whose header found the back of the net, following a great cross from Andre Gomes. The game ended 2-1 in favour of Everton and you needed to see how happy the Ancelotti men were.

Burnley vs Manchester United (FT 0-1)

Manchester United traveled to the Turf Moor to play their outstanding match with Burnley F.C. Going into the match, Manchester United had only one mission, which is to secure a win and nothing less than that. After many controversial decisions by VAR, Manchester United defeated Burnley by 1 goal to nil following a fine display from the Red Devils.

The away team were obviously the better team yesterday night as they had many chances to pull the game off in the first 45 minutes. However, apart from Maguire's goal that was canceled by the VAR, non of Manchester United's chance found the back of the net, and both teams were forced to settle for a goalless draw in the first half. Manchester United sought an opening in the second half and they eventually got it in the 71st minute after Paul Pogba's effort in the box was deflected past Nick Pope, following a great cross from Marcus Rashford. The game ended 1-0 and Manchester United players and fans around the world were so delighted.
