The host quest for UEFA qualification continues when they will welcome David Moyes side to Old Trafford on tomorrow afternoon. They have a golden chance to push for EPL top-four for the first time since September.
I think United have UEFA qualification in their own hands heading into their final two games of the season
On Sunday, The Red Devil suffered a disappointing result at Wembley as they fell 3-1 to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-fina, but prior to that, had gone 19 games unbeaten across all competitions.
They haven’t lost a EPL match since a 2-0 home defeat to Burnley in January 2020. United currently sit at 5th position on EPL table behind Leicester City.
So the added twist is that United are away to Leicester on the final day, though, making for a mouth-watering and likely winner-takes-all clash regardless of what happens in this one.
West Ham are almost guaranteed to be partaking in the next season EPL games as they sit six points above the relegation zone, with a run of just one defeat in their last five matches
The Hammers would have had higher hopes than simply avoiding relegation at the start of the campaign, and they can improve on a tumultuous 2019-20 season which has seen them lose 19 EPL matches and concede 60 goals so far.
Premier League 2019/20 recent form:
Man Utd: WWWDW
West Ham: WDLWW
For United, Luke Shaw is a doubt with an ankle injury, while Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones are still out
Eric Bailly will not be available at all with suspected concussion after a collision against Chelsea in the FA Cup Semifinal at Wembley on Sunday
For West Ham, Ryan Fredericks remains doubtful so young full-back Ben Johnson may be required to step in again. Robert Snodgrass is Moyes‘ only other absentee
