Arsenal has completed the signing of Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht, after the arrival of Nuno Tavares from Benfica last week. The gunners are ready to contend for the premier League title with other top clubs in England.
Arsenal officially announced the arrival of Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht for a fee worth £17.5 million. The Belgium Midfielder signed a five year contract with the north London club. Before his arrival, Arsenal unveiled Nuno Tavares as their first official summer signing from Benfica for a fee worth £8 million. The defender also signed a contract to stay in Emirates stadium till June, 2026.
Both are young and we'll experienced players that will be an added advantage to the Arsenal squad ahead of the new season. Following the departure of Martin Odegaard, Dani Ceballos, Arsenal decided to sign Sambi Lokonga to replace those players.
Arsenal finished the season without a natural left back after Kieran Tierney sustained an injury, Xhaka was converted to replace the injured left back.
Nuno Tavares played his debut pre-season match for Arsenal against Rangers last weekend, the new signing scored Arsenal first goals as the match later ended in a 2:2 draw. He comfortably scored with his right foot to score the goal.
The two new players will be part of Mikel Arteta Squad that will be traveling to America on Wednesday for Florida Cup. Arsenal fans will be pleased to see the player make his debut for the club in Florida.
