Manchester United have parted ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, after series of poor results, since the beginning of the season. The Red Devils have only won once in seven games, and the 4-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage road was the last straw that broke the camel's back.
Manchester United are in the 7th position and are 12 points adrift of first place Chelsea, who is their next opponent in the Premier League.
The United fans and hierarchy had high hopes for their team before the start of the season, after strengthening the team with quality players like Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane not forgetting the return of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Red Devils started the season like a house on fire, after brushing Leeds United aside 5-1 in the first game and followed up with another 4-1 victory over Newcastle United.
Results started getting bad after a loss to Aston Villa and Villarreal in the Champions League. However, things went from bad to worse for United after 5-0 scandalous win to Liverpool and another 2-0 loss to their City rival Manchester City.
Now that Solskjaer's dismissal has been confirmed, there are some players that will be looking forward to impress the new gaffer that will be coming on board, and to fight their way back to the starting eleven.
(1) Van De Beek:
The Dutch moved to Old Trafford from Ajax Amsterdam last season, but has struggled to earn a starting spot at Manchester United.
Van De Beek showed that if trusted he is a quality player, as he scored the consolatory goal in the United 4-1 loss against Watford.
(2) Jesse Lingard:
He had a successful loan spell with West Ham when he moved to the London team in January, and was hopeful that he would be able to fight his way back to the team.
However, he has only being restricted to a substitute role for United despite putting up impressive display by scoring against Newcastle and West Ham the team he played for last season.
With the appointment of another manager, he can still be optimistic of playing for his childhood club regularly.
Do you agree that this players will benefit from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sack?
