Chelsea have made progress in the deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen sensational player kai Harvertz. The Blues have been linked with a possible move for the youngster, for some weeks now.

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard is said to be a firm admirer of the player and what he does.

Harvertz has had a great season at Bayer Leverkusen, prompting a host of big clubs to be seeking the player's signature.

Reporting, Sky Sports has revealed that the Blues has made a considerable progress in the deal to sign the young German machine.

According to Sky Sports, the player has told his club Bayer Leverkusen that he wants to leave and Chelsea is his possible destination.

Bayer Leverkusen value Harvertz at £90m, but are ready to negotiate a reduction in price with Chelsea due to the fact that Harvertz has just two years remaining in his contract.

The German club are reportedly ready to negotiate a deal that will see Chelsea pay the agreed fee in installment, with add-ons and bonuses that will satisfy the two clubs.

However, Chelsea are not the only club willing to sign the youngster, though they are the ones leading the race for his signature. Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the Germany international.
